Tina

This painting is of the dog who shares my life, I have been painting this one for a while now, just adding where possible at weekends in between commissions. she is nearly blind and I though the darkness reflects this blindness Tina lives with every day.

Since posting this we have unfortunately lost our friend Tina; she had done remarkedly well. Considering she was 13 years old, blind, had Cushing's disease, Diabetes and Arthritis, she was still a very happy lady, often as sprite as a puppy… but as soon as we noticed her quality of life took a turn for the worse, and our vet said there was nothing more could be done to improve that quality, we made the hard decision to not let her suffer; and like all of you who have been in the same position, it goes without saying that she is very sadly missed.

Jane has just completed an additional painting of Tina taken from a time when Tina was still her cheeky fun loving self. this painting will be added to this site very soon. a series of speed painting videos can be seen on Jane’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/JaneBoothArt/

This is when I have completed applying the basic values, tones and Mid-tones all done with oil paint.
